How do I get rid of a nest?

Yes. Liverpool Pest Control offers a complete nest control service. We guarantee to treat any nest up to twice and once dormant remove it at an additional rate. Please allow up to two weeks for one treatment or three weeks for two treatment before arranging for a visit for us to come and remove the dormant nest. Please ask your adjoining neighbours if they have noticed any signs of a bee, wasp or hornets’ nest as more often than not there is two within a close location. If one nest is treated but there is another live nest close by, there is potential for the live bees, wasps and hornets from the nest close by to swarm into the treated nest and keep it alive. Do I leave the property during a treatment?

It is entirely up to yourself. Can you leave a nest to die on its own?

Liverpool Pest Control strongly recommends that you do not leave any nest with high activity. At peak seasons with lots of availability to food, this can increase the growth of a nest and only make your problem worse if left for any period of time. Please do consider who is around the infestation and their potential to be stung. We highly advise to get any nest treated as soon as it is noticed, to eliminate the problem straight away.

Can I drown a nest?

Liverpool Pest Control highly recommends that you do not attempt to drown a nest with boiling water or a hose. We advise you that this is not a safe way to kill off any wasps, bees, hornets or their nests that are being a nuisance. There is huge potential for them to attack and sting.

Are bees, wasps and hornets dangerous?

Yes. If any human or animal is stung there is potential for an allergic reaction. In severe cases if stung towards the upper body or airways, this can cause the airways to tighten; or any sting can cause an anaphylactic shock and potential fatality.
